Kathryn Smith

Born in Hamilton Ontario, Kathryn has a deep affection for her hometown. This affection is reflected in her landscapes, cityscapes and house and pet commissions. At the early age of six, Kathryn Smith knew that she wanted to be an artist. Living in the City of Hamilton gave her the opportunity to attend the Dundas Valley School of Art where she studied under master artist Gordon Perrier for 3-1/2 years.

Her love of both artchitecture and animals led her in the direction of doing private commissions. Kathryn currently lives in Hamilton with her two faithful studio assistants, Chaucer, a West Highland Terrier and Catya, a black, Burmese foundling.
